Samsung’s Galaxy Chromebook arrives April 6th

The Galaxy Chromebook is a laptop that users can be proud of, whether they are in the classroom or the office. The display is touch-enabled, so the Galaxy Chromebook has a stylus for writing, tapping and drawing on the display. Like the S Pen found in other Galaxy laptops and phones, the Styluus can slide in and out of the screen with a single tap. The 2.2-pound Galaxy Chromebook is a 2-in-1 convertible laptop, meaning that the hinge can be rotated 360 degrees, turning it into a tent, easel, slate or tablet. The company has done a good job of developing low-end Chromebook models that dominate sales on Amazon, but it has been slow to join the movement to produce high-quality Google laptops. This move has held up so well that Samsung stepped in when it didn’t have to, and it’s made the Galaxy Chromebook anyway. Sources: 10

The Chromebook measures 9.9mm in thickness and is the thinnest ever released Samsung Chromebook, and it features an AMOLED touchscreen display. Samsung says that support for HDR400 will be pushed into the software, but for messaging apps, users can use Samsung’s own messaging app, Samsung Messenger, as well as Google’s Messenger app. Sources: 5

The Galaxy Chromebook unveiled today at CES 2020 in Las Vegas brings at least a few notable innovations to the table. It will ship with the latest Intel Core i7-7500U processor, and it will be pitched at a starting price of $1,499, or about $200 more than the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Sources: 7
